I know this is a action thriller because between the characters you can see friends and betrayal, this leads to thrilling action (boat explosion), therefore the characters have contributed in indicating that the film is an action thriller.
The 4 micro elements of media have also contributed towards showing why the film is an action thriller:
- Camera - A close up of the fire created by the explosion of the boat emphasis the thrilling action.
- Editing - Cuts between the fire and people going into the water reflect thrilling action.
- Sound - Sounds of screaming and agony indicate action. Also the sound of the explosion also reflects action.
- Mise En Scene - People running and dying in the fire within the frame speaks for itself. It reflects thrilling action.

I know this is a romance thriller from the characters for many reasons such as: the girl is buying roses and obviously in love which indicates romance. Also the mystery of the couple (delivering rose not by herself) also adds a thrill to the romance.

- Camera - A close up of the rose carried by the delivery boy reflects romance between the couple.
- Editing - Cuts between the girl riding away and the delivery boy delivering the rose adds a sense of thrill.
- Sound - When the girl sympathetically pleads towards the shop owner to deliver the rose it reflects romance as you can see how eager and in love she is.
- Mise En Scene - The scene where the girls is surrounded by flowers within the frame reflect romance as flowers are an indication of love.
